ABOUT US

We will help experienced dementia caregiver provide support and mentoring for newer dementia caregivers—providing free mentoring/caregiving training.  We need a few additional experienced caregivers to volunteer for this training and for the following mentoring.  The time commitment is not great, 8 weeks of training (3 hours per week, with provided dinner and subsequent 1 hour meetings with a new caregiver.  Details below; contact us through an email or telephone.  FB page is Caregiver Mentoring.

WHO WE ARE:

David Dodd :  I was a caregiver for my wife with Alzheimer’s for 18 years; she recently died..  I have mentored other caregivers and have written a regular blog about caregiving dementiacaregiverblog.com and on FACEBOOK https://www.facebook.com/groups/2757981924311045/

Marsden Blanch : I am a long time (15 years) caregiver of my wife with Alzheimer’s who died in May, 2023.  I have mentored other caregivers and have created a family non-profit, dedicated to the support of dementia caregivers through an annual conference about such caregivers and funding to support respite support for caregivers from visiting aides.  The nonprofit is lyndenlegacy.com

Stefanie Shumaker :  I have been a Hospice Chaplain for many years; I have worked with many. many dementia patients and their caregivers/families.  Through these contacts, I have developed a deep understanding of the trials of people with dementia and their caregivers:stefanie@stefanieshumaker.com|801-647-378
